Overview

What We’re Looking For
As a Level 2 System Administrator at CyberPoint, you will ensure the reliability, security and performance of critical IT systems. You'll handle everything from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to configuring and maintaining UNIX and Windows environments, optimizing operations and resolving complex technical issues. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with proactive system management, making you an essential part of our mission-focused team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance support for IT systems.
  • Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
  • Manage daily configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Assist users in accessing and using IT systems effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain client, server, storage and network devices, including mobile devices.
  • Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide in-depth troubleshooting for complex IT system issues.
  • Maintain involvement in dispatch system and hardware problem resolution.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Install and update operating system software.
  • Maintain integrity and configure network components.
  • Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of system administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX and Windows system administration.
  • Proficiency in Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex IT systems.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and system optimization.
  • Ability to configure and maintain network components.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with users and leadership.
