$53,540 - $70,940 - $88,340

SUMMARY: 

Under direct supervision, provides assistance to management and administers special projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts reviews of current operations, systems, or programs for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Recommends changes and improvements where appropriate
  • Serves as the functional unit or managerial unit Budget Coordinator
  • Monitors budget variance reports and budget changes for compliance with company policy and department budget guidelines
  • Acts as a liaison between the manager or executive and his or her direct reports
  • Oversees project plans and coordinates projects for management

COMPETENCIES:                  

  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques
  • In-depth Knowledge of budgeting systems and budget variance reporting
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS              

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or GED and six to seven years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:                  

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:                  

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY: 

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.

COMPUTER SKILLS:                  

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand and walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time and talk and listen for long periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to reach is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:                  

  • Office environment
  • May require some travel.
