Rehab Therapy Supervisor- Home Health - Military veterans preferred

This Therapy Supervisor position will supervise Home Health Rehab Therapy staff for NRV, Franklin, and Tazewell regions.  Primary location will be the Franklin Home Health office in Rocky Mount, Va. Company equipment provided.

Provides professional care to patients of all ages in the home setting. Provides lead supervision to the staff to assure quality patient care. Assumes responsibilities delegated by Manager. Assists with development and coordination of strategically aligned systemwide processes related to patient care. Facilitates effective open two-way communication and resolution of operational issues that support service line/service goals and objectives, benchmarks and targets.
 

• Fulfills staff responsibilities and accountabilities. Maintains professional and clinical 
• competence.  Under the direction of the manager, designs, implements and maintains a system by which staff competence is evaluated, measured and expanded as driven by the needs of the populations served
• Serves as a role model, developmental coach and mentor for staff.
• Monitors performance improvement activities and/or collects PI data as directed by management. Participates in development of action plans.  
• Organizes and oversees daily activities among rehab therapists and assistants. Oversees electronic scheduling and acts as a liaison to all centralized departments and functions.
• Oversees the development of staff work schedule and make appropriate resource 
• allocation decisions.
• In collaboration with Manager, selects, trains, supervises and evaluates staff.
• In collaboration with the Manager offers suggestions on ways to manage the therapy revenue and cost portions of the budget.
• Actively participates in obtaining desired service line/departmental outcomes.
• Identifies and completes projects in a timely and satisfactory manner.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of accredited program in related discipline of Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Therapy.  Associates  degree required. 

Experience: Two years' experience in related discipline. Three years supervisory experience required.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Discipline specific licensure and/or certification as appropriate as Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Therapist.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrates leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal communication skills.
