Quality Control Senior Associate

Accurate Group is seeking an experienced Quality Control Senior Associate to join our growing team. The Quality Control Associate is responsible for reviewing completed residential appraisals for quality and accuracy, and compliance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, HVCC, USPAP guidelines, and client requirements. The Quality Control Senior Associate must have a Certified Residential Appraisal License and have or obtain USPAP certification prior to entering the production environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Review appraisal, BPO, and other valuation reports prior to delivery to the client. The examination includes a check for typographical, mathematical and grammatical errors; compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Dodd-Frank, and Appraiser Independence Requirements (AIR); conformity to applicable state AMC laws and industry regulations; adherence to Fannie Mae (FNMA), Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Freddie Mac (FHLMC) guidelines; and an assessment of the quality of completeness in meeting client-specific requirements.
  • Utilizes third party validation and investigative tools as is necessary such as internal and online data sources to identify public record discrepancies. If discrepancies arise in the data, escalate to management when necessary
  • Prepares and submits comprehensive and clear, written revisions to the appraiser for any deficiencies noted in the report related to Standard 3 reviews.
  • Perform follow up functions that include calling an appraiser for status, clarification, etc. as related to Standard 3 compliance and working with the client and original Appraiser to address the compliance concerns.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of appraisal requirements for various clients.
  • Completes an average of 21 appraisals or 25 BPOs net new reviews daily, plus updates on revised appraisals.
  • Certified Residential Appraisers License Is REQUIRED.
  • Maintains USPAP certification.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will have the following proven skills:

  • Minimum of four to ten years of prior experience in Residential Real Estate Evaluation.
  • RESIDENTIAL CERTIFED APPRAISER LICENSE
  • Required to hold a USPAP certification
  • Knowledgeable in the subject matter of residential real estate valuations with the ability to determine assignment complexities that require escalation to senior staff Appraiser or Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree from 4 year college or university.
  • Ability to multi-task & work independently: Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently; values time; able to prioritize and structure workflow to achieve optimal execution.
  • Act with courtesy, dignity & respect: Always demonstrate professionalism. Exhibiting positive energy with a “can do” attitude.

Job Type: Full-time/Remote

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000

Schedule: Monday -Friday (8-hour shifts)
