Waséyabek (WDC) is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and manage multi-entity payroll operations across our growing portfolio of businesses.
This role offers a hybrid schedule based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan office.

?? About the Role
The Senior Payroll & Compensation Specialist will oversee the end-to-end payroll function across all WDC business entities. This role demands high attention to detail, deep understanding of payroll compliance, and the ability to drive process improvements while leading business relationships and supporting team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer payroll for multiple business entities
Ensure regulatory compliance and resolve payroll issues
Manage payroll system (ADP Workforce Now) and support audits
Oversee benefit deductions, taxes, and garnishments
Lead training and serve as the point of escalation for payroll matters
? What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, or Finance
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
5+ years of multi-site payroll experience
Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Deltek Costpoint
Strong analytical, customer service, and compliance skills
Ability to pass drug screen & background check

Experience with tribal entities or government contracting
Knowledge of complex or international payroll scenarios
Prior involvement in payroll service center operations

Based in Grand Rapids, MI
Hybrid eligible (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
