Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking a Defense Acquisition Management Analyst to support a space program.  In this role you will support program planning and execution across the acquisition lifecycle. You will provide critical guidance on cost, schedule, performance, integration, and strategic alignment for the defense space program. You will work closely with leadership to ensure effective coordination, forecasting, and decision support for advanced technology and capability development initiatives.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Support acquisition planning by providing analysis, recommendations, and guidance on aligning programs with manpower, funding, and capability priorities.
  • Assist program managers in identifying, mitigating, and resolving interface and integration challenges across acquisition and sustainment activities.
  • Coordinate resolution of programmatic issues and ensure effective communication across acquisition teams and external mission partners.
  • Facilitate integration of system requirements and program efforts to improve synchronization across the broader defense acquisition enterprise.
  • Maintain and update acquisition forecasts, tracking contract efforts, milestones, and key decision points to support strategic planning and execution.
  • Analyze acquisition forecast data to identify discrepancies, gaps, or deficiencies that could impact program alignment or execution.
  • Integrate inputs from force design documents, operational imperatives, combatant command priorities, and future force development efforts into planning recommendations.
  • Prepare and coordinate acquisition-related briefings and materials in support of high-visibility engagements, including congressional taskers.
  • Draft and review program acquisition information intended for industry, media, and public stakeholdersensuring alignment with strategic messaging and clearance protocols.
  • Provide technical and operational support across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements definition, risk management, and performance assessment.
  • Support acquisition strategy development for advanced technologies, emerging capabilities, and future concept integration.
  • Advise leadership on cost, schedule, and performance metrics to support program execution, milestone reviews, and decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • 15 + years relevant experience including work specifically in support of space programs.
  • Experience with MAR Reporting Software.
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite and TMT.
  • Experience with comprehensive cost and requirements system (CCAR).
  • Demonstrated understanding of mission critical aspects of acquisition and DoD space launch, ground and sustainment and associated projects.
  • Knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, Space Command, processes and procedures relevant to their functional responsibility and speak/write Air Force and Space Acquisition terminology.
