We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Senior Data Management Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Manchester, NH office.

As a Senior Data Management Engineer on Haley & Aldrich’s Data Management and Visualization team, you will not only lead our mobile data collection program but also serve as a hands-on leader driving change and supporting our digital transformation objectives. You will assess the company’s current state of practice and propose strategic improvements, championing the adoption of best-in-class processes and technologies.

A core aspect of this role is collaborating with and mentoring support staff and colleagues within a high-performance, team-focused environment. You will coach junior team members and peers, foster a culture of learning, and inspire others to grow their technical abilities. Your leadership will help shape a consistent and effective approach for data collection, processing, access, and reporting across H&A, and advance our capabilities using PowerBI and similar data visualization tools.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  • Lead the mobile data collection program, coordinating efforts across disciplines to drive adoption, ensure robust data flow, and support connectivity throughout H&A projects.
  • Evaluate current data management practices and serve as a change agent by recommending and implementing process and technology improvements to achieve company objectives.
  • Collaborate as a cross-functional leader and work closely with other data management and visualization leaders to develop, standardize, and implement consistent tools and processes for data collection, processing, access, and reporting.
  • Drive improvements and manage implementation of PowerBI (and/or similar platforms) for on-demand data visualization, analysis, and reporting, and coach teams in their effective use.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the team.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver key data management initiatives, providing clear direction and supporting staff in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data management related field.
  • Experience with SQL Server database.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PowerBI or similar data visualization/reporting platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of driving change, leading cross-functional initiatives, and delivering project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching experience with technical teams, supporting professional growth and team development.
  • Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
  • Experience with data collection, database applications, and process standardization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, data analytics, data science, or related field. (Non-standard)
  • Experience with Python, ArcGIS, Tableau, or other relevant platforms.
  • Prior experience in a formal supervisory, team lead, or mentoring capacity.
  • Experience designing and delivering training to technical personnel.
  • Previous leadership or project management experience in a technical data-focused environment.
  • Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing enterprise data solutions.
