Description
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and support services of the organization’s physical facilities. This role ensures all building systems, services, and environments function efficiently and safely, aligning with organizational goals while delivering high-quality customer service to occupants. The manager supervises custodial, maintenance, groundskeeping, and other facilities-related staff and vendors, ensuring optimal facility performance and user satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of building systems, including custodial, maintenance, and grounds services.
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe, functional, and compliant with applicable health, safety, environmental, and security regulations.
- Coordinate and manage repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Administer service contracts and vendor relationships (e.g., janitorial, landscaping, pest control, waste management).
- Respond to and resolve service requests and work orders in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and manage department budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving initiatives.
- Support strategic and operational initiatives in collaboration with EHS, Facilities Engineering, Security, and other departments.
- Implement and enforce facility management policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Prepare reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain facility records.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, operations, or real estate planning.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising or leading teams or complex projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and space planning.
- Experience with contract and vendor management, including service agreements and compliance monitoring.
- Working knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in project management, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Ability to conduct inspections and recommend actions for ongoing maintenance and facility improvements.
- Practical experience managing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering).
- Facility Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or other related certifications.
- Experience in corporate real estate, office space planning, and long-range facilities planning.
- Strong budgeting and financial tracking skills; experience managing project or departmental budgets.
- Experience working in complex, multi-site environments or across multiple departments.
- Advanced knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and workplace planning tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CAFM).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers.
- Proven success in identifying and implementing cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- Experience developing and enforcing facilities-related policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy efficiency strategies in facility operations.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
