Overview

The HR Benefit Specialist leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and goal attainment.



Responsibilities

  • Strategic lead for overall benefits program
  • Liaison with benefit broker and carriers.
  • Collaborate with HR Benefits Specialist with day to day benefit tasks.
  • Delegate daily tasks to Benefits Specialist.
  • Research, analyze, and administer healthcare plans and wellness programs, from medical, dental, vision HSA, and FSA.
  • Administration of 401K program
  • Work with health care vendors to ensure smooth feeds of data from HRIS to payroll systems
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments
  • Lead the open enrollment process
  • Process various benefit paperwork including but not limited; FMLA, STD and other types of leaves.
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Answer employee questions using ServiceNow ticketing system.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or related field, 5-7 years’ experience specifically in the benefits area of Human Resources or related field in lieu of degree.
  • Five to seven years of progressive experience in Human Resources and/or related field
  • · Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced HR environment.
  • · Ability to problem solve and possess good communication skills.
  • · Familiarity with Workday HRIS systems and ability to navigate benefits in the system.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Government contracting experience.
