Intensive Community Program:
Provides clinical services to adolescents and their families with complex psychiatric presentations in a community setting. Responsible for providing services in a trauma-informed and relational manner with an emphasis of helping the adolescents live successfully in the community. Excellent collaboration with community providers and a strong family-centered approach required. The clinician will maintain a small caseload and will provide services (individual and family therapy, crisis management, case management and parent education) to the adolescents and families in the home and community as well. Purposes of services are to stabilize the adolescent in the home and transition to outpatient services, improve family functioning and communication, reduce aggressive and self-injurious behaviors, improve school attendance, and connect adolescents to informal community supports. Rotating on-call and flexibility in schedule required. **This program does not require an LMSW upon hire, but once hired it must be obtained. No post-graduate experiences necessary**
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinician provides direct services to clients, in the office, school, or other identified setting to meet the unique needs of families served. Unlicensed clinicians are hired prior to obtaining their license to practice as mental health practitioners (i.e., psychology, social work, LMFT, LPC, LADC). Unlicensed clinicians will receive supervision by a licensed clinician and may be offered training opportunities. When eligible, all unlicensed clinicians are expected to obtain licensure to be considered for ongoing employment at The Village.
