Join our team as a Damage Prevention Field Technician and help protect essential underground infrastructure while ensuring public safety. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a valuable trade, receive on-the-job training, and build a strong foundation in the utility and construction industry.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Visit active job sites to observe digging activities and help ensure safety rules are followed

  • Work directly with homeowners, contractors, and utility crews to support safe digging practices

  • Learn to identify and mark underground utility lines using provided tools and technology

  • Assist with verifying and updating utility line markings as needed

  • Keep simple records of your site visits, conversations, and activities using company tools

  • Support regular checks to help ensure markings are accurate and safety procedures are being followed

  • Take care of your assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle with basic upkeep

  • Respond to job site requests or support your team during time-sensitive situations

  • Be an active part of our safety-first culture by working closely with your teammates and learning best practices

  • Take on other tasks as assigned by your supervisor as you grow into the role



Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently in the field, problem-solve, and adapt to changing conditions on job sites
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Familiarity with 811 dig laws and safe excavation practices is preferred, but training will be provided
