ABOUT THE ROLE
Guided by department objectives and firm priorities, designs and delivers technology training for attorneys and staff globally, across all offices. Delivers technology-related training on an ad hoc basis, in a classroom setting, and via remote or hybrid delivery, ensuring consistent high quality in all offices; creates and maintains training content in multiple formats. Supports the Technology Training Supervisor in developing and implementing firmwide technology training and support programs, including the use of the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), to ensure the effective utilization and enhance the usefulness of firm technology and applications. Collaborates closely with other technology trainers, office-based information technology teams, firmwide information technology groups, attorneys, staff, and vendors to ensure the delivery of quality services to all users. Provides high-level training-related support for day-to-day technology use in assigned offices and collaborates with other trainers to ensure consistent adoption and effective use of firm technology. Travels to designated offices as needed. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.
Training Responsibilities
- Delivers all training on firm standard hardware and software, as well as specialized legal technology used in the offices, using established MoFo delivery standards. Training formats include remote group classroom delivery, one-on-one coaching, practice sessions, workshop rollouts, hybrid training, and synchronous virtual facilitation. Serves as the point person for coordinating and ensuring the continuation of ongoing effective new hire technology orientation sessions that are consistent across all offices, and all related training for new staff and attorneys. Provides remote or virtual desk-side training as needed.
- Creates and prepares training and/or reference materials such as quick reference guides, training manuals, tip sheets, online tutorials, and other e-learning tools and materials.
- Communicates proactively with end users to ensure learning needs are clarified, effectively addressed, and resolved with appropriate urgency. Ensures end user satisfaction; maintains accountability throughout resolution, including when issues are delegated or handed off.
- Meets with attorney and staff groups to identify training needs, and designs, delivers, and evaluates customized programs to address them.
- Regularly applies learning and expertise to develop solutions and processes to anticipate future application issues.
- Participates in the development of new training programs and initiatives, such as virtual office hours and Tech Tips. Edits and modifies existing firmwide content and develops learning content for small-scale projects as needed.
- Provides professional interpretation of technology concepts for colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing.
ABOUT YOU
Education and Experience
- College degree and coursework in information technology, instructional design, or related fields preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in technical training and content authoring, including the design, development, and delivery of training programs and reference materials.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS required; in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other online collaboration tools to facilitate training. Skilled in e-learning authoring software such as Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, and EasyGenerator.
- Recent and relevant certification strongly desired.
- Knowledgeable in project management standards and guidelines.
- Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred.
- Experience using and administering a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.

- Flexibility regarding work schedule to meet position needs outside of regular business hours; occasional travel required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.
New York, San Francisco salary range: $92k to $128k
