Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Reliability Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Data Governance teams. This role focuses on ensuring the availability, accuracy, and trustworthiness of data across its lifecycle—from ingestion to reporting. Candidates should bring strong BI tool proficiency (e.g., Power BI, SAP BO) and a passion for data quality, monitoring, and process improvement.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines and reporting systems to ensure data reliability. 
  • Collaborate with Data Governance Manager, BI Developers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.
  • Develop and implement data integration and delivery solutions to consolidate data from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts to track data health and anomalies.
  • Understand complex data requirements and evolving business needs in order to deliver relevant data sets/solutions. 
  • Participate in root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures for recurring data issues.
  • Document data flows, dependencies, and quality assurance protocols, in addition to best practices and guidelines for support teams.
  • Provide support to stakeholders for data related technical issues, including applications and interfaces that access the data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing, validation, cleansing, and error handling.
  • Support the onboarding of new data sources and ensure alignment with data governance standards.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and automation scripts.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and business SMEs to support data visualization.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a BI, Data Operations, or analytics support role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems, either SQL Server and/or Oracle.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, SAP Business Objects, or similar.
  • General knowledge of Power BI and other reporting tools (Crystal Reports, SSRS).
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle concepts, data governance, and quality frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to learn SQL and other data engineering tools on the job.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent education and work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in full life cycle development including design, development, implementation, documentation, training, and on-going support for enterprise level applications.

 

Language Ability: 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Math Ability: 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Understanding of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize.
