JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineering Manager – Software will identify product performance opportunities and defects, analyze customer and internally produced data. This individual will work with the various LOBs to create solutions and drive the organization to execute solutions successfully. The end result of the execution of this position will be to deliver high customer satisfaction ratings for the benefit of our North American customer base and to deliver material cost savings to NHA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prioritize quality initiatives that generate the highest level of customer satisfaction and NHA margin.
- Full human resource management responsibility for quality assurance staff.
- Manage scheduling of QA resources for all quality assurance activities and projects.
- Maintain and promote timely communications through project status meetings and reporting.
- Recruit and manage a best-in-class quality assurance team.
- Formulate best practices, both technically and functionally, to create a long-term foundation for ensuring and maintaining software quality.
- Work with software engineers, participating in requirements and design meetings to understand complex business requirements to estimate, design, review & execute test plans.
- Perform regression and end-to-end testing to identify requirement gaps.
- Document and review test cases to meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Interface effectively with software engineers, customers, and partners to drive scalable quality improvement processes.
- Keep automated test cases updated and optimized as functionality and services get updated with new requirements.
- Manage GSC ATM lab inventory, usage, and equipment procurement.
- Generate and share metric reports that can be used to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage defect log and ensure defect free delivery of complex business requirements.
- Establish and maintain tools for tracking product quality and quality improvement efforts.
- Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
- Must excel in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success.
- Bachelor's degree in area of specialty or 5-8 years of management or supervisor experience.
- ATM software experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous ticketing and process improvement and reduction experience is needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
- Superior communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to converse with management and challenge them, where appropriate.
- Create and maintain a positive working environment and relationship with both internal and external customers.
- Possess performance management skills and follow HR processes.
