About the Role:

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to play a key role in supporting and managing daily Human Resources functions at Spartronics. This position is crucial for ensuring seamless HR operations and fostering a positive workplace culture. They will be involved in recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, compliance, and assisting with employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage job postings, screen resumes, and schedule phone interviews with candidates.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including handling paperwork and organizing orientation programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and all required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Process employee status changes and updates to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Oversee the timecards of temporary employees and coordinate with staffing agencies to ensure accurate records and timely payroll processing.
  • Provide employees with timely updates on policy changes and HR best practices.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, meetings, and community initiatives.
  • Help promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate on special HR initiatives, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of HR and/or payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or staffing environment.
  • General knowledge of HR and payroll laws and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity when handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and fostering team success.
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Experience with the Paylocity platform.

Key Metrics and Focus Areas:

  • Streamlining recruitment processes, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Enhancing employee engagement and company culture.
  • Provide communication and assistance to employees.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements involving typing, using a mouse, handling paperwork, and filing.
  • Occasional lifting of files, boxes, or other office supplies up to 30 lbs.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Compensation may be based on experience, qualifications, and education.
