Westcoast Entertainment is seeking a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Content & Engagement Strategist to lead brand storytelling, marketing content, and audience engagement across digital platforms and live events. This hybrid role blends strategic content development with on-the-ground execution, supporting ticket sales, sponsor integration, and promotional campaigns while serving as a key representative of WCE at performances and community events.
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of writing, visual content, and event marketing—and brings both creative talent and operational acumen to the table. You’ll lead the way in developing content that reflects our brand and mission while planning and executing experiential activations that connect with the community.
What You’ll Do:
Creative & Content Development
- Write and develop show-related content including press releases, announcements, web copy, social posts, email campaigns, and playbill editorial
- Proactively identify content opportunities tied to shows, sponsors, and community events, pitching new ideas that align with strategic objectives.
- Design and edit digital and print assets (using tools like Canva and Adobe) for promotions, social media, and signage
- Design original assets tailored to each platform, maintaining brand standards while innovating creative concepts
- Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and visual branding across platforms
- Oversee the development of playbill content and advertising layout in coordination with sponsors and partners
- Attend a variety of WCE events to gather content
Digital Marketing & Platform Management
- Collaborate with the marketing team to build and schedule email campaigns using Eloqua (or similar platforms), with a focus on email automation strategies.
- Manage content updates on the WCE website (show pages, homepage, community content, etc.)
- Support and help lead social media execution using Sprout Social or similar tools—maintaining a proactive content calendar and contributing to visual and written creative
- Monitor content performance and provide data-informed recommendations to optimize reach and engagement
- Develop and implement strategic content calendars aligned with sales pacing and brand initiatives.
Live Event Planning, Execution & Representation
- Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person event promotions including VIP experiences, themed nights, influencer nights, and community activations
- Independently plan and lead complex on-site activations with minimal supervision, coordinating multiple stakeholders including the Box Office, the tour and sponsors to ensure seamless execution
- Attend events as a face of WestCoast Entertainment—supporting talent, sponsors, and partners while capturing content and ensuring campaign alignment
- Manage on-site logistics for partner activations and social capture needs
- Represent the brand in a professional, enthusiastic, and welcoming manner to patrons, tour, city partners, and community stakeholders
- Gather post-event content and assist in recaps for internal and external stakeholders
Promotions, Ticketing & Campaign Collaboration
- Work closely with ticketing and marketing teams to align messaging, plan sales campaigns, and develop promotions tied to pacing, inventory, and audience growth
- Support dynamic pricing strategies, seasonal promotions, and special offers with tailored content and campaign development
- Support the ticketing team by utilizing the backend of the ticketing system to assist with dynamic pricing, promotional pricing, and rescaling seat maps for auditing and reporting purposes on shows.
- Assist in crafting strategic messaging across customer touchpoints: ticket holder emails, reminders, and pre-show communications
- Take ownership of cross-channel campaigns, aligning ticketing, promotions, and social strategies to deliver cohesive results.
- Support market research, including identifying new target audiences
- Track and report data related to social media and earned media value
- Analyze campaign performance to inform future strategies that grow ticket sales and expand audience reach
Sponsorship & Partner Fulfillment
- Manage the inclusion of sponsor messaging and visuals in digital, social, and print materials
- Assist with sponsor communication, visibility planning, and fulfillment tracking
- Develop and contribute to recap materials for key partners and community stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and professional development within the marketing and ticketing team, incorporating best practices, emerging trends, and innovative techniques
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience in content strategy, social media marketing, communications, or digital marketing—preferably in live entertainment, performing arts, or media
- Excellent writing and editing skills across editorial, marketing, and promotional formats
- Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Eloqua (or similar email platforms), and Sprout Social (or other social scheduling tools)
- Skilled in creating content for social media, both written and visual—with awareness of platform best practices and trends
- Experience managing websites through a CMS (e.g., WordPress or similar)
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing live events, including community-facing promotions and high-touch audience experiences
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners to achieve organizational goals
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Ability to self-direct and problem solve
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Portfolio demonstrating both written and visual content creation across digital channels
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, showing urgency in addressing emerging opportunities or challenges.
- Comfortable taking initiative in fast-paced, high-pressure environments typical of live entertainment.
- Proven curiosity and continuous learning mindset, staying updated on industry trends and new technologies

- Available and willing to work evenings and weekends, when required, tied to show schedules, events, and sponsor activations
- Preferred: Knowledge of backend ticketing systems and experience with pricing strategies, including dynamic pricing, promotional pricing, and seat map management
Pay Transparency
The base pay for this position is $28.85 - $33.65 per hour. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
