Clinical Research Coordinator



This position involves leading a project related to how socioenvironmental and psychological factors across the lifespan relate to changes in later-life biological and cognitive aging. Job duties will include the following: establish protocol-specific recruitment plans and recruit, consent, and schedule participants; conduct participant interviews; independently monitor data and participant progress throughout the study; data management and analysis; and perform administrative duties (e.g., prepare and maintain IRB materials, organize biospecimens for analysis, lead team research meetings, monitor study budget). The candidate must be able to work independently and problem-solve with minimal supervision, and must motivated, very organized, and have strong interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience with REDCap, IRB protocols, and working with biological specimens is desired.


Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.


Essential Functions

The candidate should be highly organized, with advanced problem solving skills and high attention to detail. Communication skills both orally and written must be exceptional.


Physical Effort

Position requires walking between offices, floors, and buildings across campus. Light to moderate lifting for data collection.
