POSITION SUMMARY

This is a skilled position. It requires a technical understanding of solar equipment, the ability to trouble shoot and fix problems, and good customer communication skills. It is a combination of office and on-site work. The office work would include but not be limited to: interaction with customers and office-based diagnostic work. On-site work would include but not be limited to: trouble shooting, repairs, data monitors, and commissioning new systems. Approximately 40% of the work is office based and 60% is in the field. This position is full-time seasonal.

Position Requirements
  • Solid familiarity with the various solar equipment (modules, inverters, data monitors, and other miscellaneous hardware).
  • Experience with solar installation either through hands-on experience or comparable education program.
  • Ability to analyze problems and find the appropriate repair solution.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as volt meters.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competency with computer-based work.
  • Physically fit to perform the job functions. There will be occasional lifting and the occasional need to climb ladders and work on rooftops.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
