Carilion Clinic
Installs and supports both voice and data peripheral technologies, including but not limited to PCs, laptops, printers, mobile phones, tablets (including other wireless handheld devices) and telephones. Provides on-site and remote equipment troubleshooting and repair for all technologies to ensure operational effectiveness of the organization. Assists vendor and other technology teams with the initial troubleshooting of connectivity and hardware/software related issues. Aids with onsite and remote observations of technology issues in efforts of helping provide client issue resolution.
Education: Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Entry level position no experience necessary. Experience in microcomputers and supporting desktop hardware/software required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation. CompTIA A+ Dell Hardware Certification (WPD) Additionally, any one of the following are preferred, but not required:
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
CompTIA Project+
CompTIA Server+
CompTIA Cloud+
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Apple Certified Support Professional
Other Minimum Qualifications: Good organizational skills, analytical, dependable, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and understanding of the English language (both written and oral). Must have excellent problem solving skills, and be customer service oriented.
