Position Summary:

The Strategic Sales Group (SSG) Bid Coordinator plays a key role in identifying and coordinating bid opportunities that align with the company’s target profile, technical capabilities, and geographical reach. This role involves managing assigned activities within the Strategic Sales Group workflow, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication across teams. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, personable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; 
    • Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial construction estimating preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and PDF tools; 
    • Experience with CRM systems and bid/RFP search engines preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to read and interpret business documentation; 
    • Experience with CSI specifications and technical drawings preferred
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills with minimal supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Willingness to conduct job site visits and occasional travel
  • Ability to work at a desk for extended periods; some standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting required


Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications and plans to identify bid opportunities for approval
  • Verify bid prequalification requirements with general contractors (GC), electrical contractors (EC), and end-users
  • Assess project requirements including licensing, DVBE, delivery, labor, and schedules
  • Collaborate with GC, EC, end-users, and architects to clarify scope details
  • Communicate project status with management, engineering, sales support, and sales teams
  • Prepare and manage documents and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly SSG activities
  • Contact subcontractors and contractors regarding project pricing, submittals, and related items
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports as directed by management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Participate in training and adhere to company standards
