Position Overview

Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite)

Shift:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining compliance with the high standards required in the aerospace industry. This is a technical role with heavy computer work. International shipping experience is highly preferred. What You'll Do

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and parts against purchase orders, packing slips, and aerospace quality documentation.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, appropriate labeling, and compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations (e.g., ITAR, FAA, AS9100).
  • Generate shipping documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, export forms, and other regulatory paperwork.
  • Accurately maintain records in the company's ERP system to ensure traceability and up-to-date inventory management.
  • Support inventory control through regular cycle counts and participation in physical inventory audits.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments (Purchasing, Production, Quality) to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping/receiving and inventory storage areas.
  • Report and escalate any damaged materials or discrepancies to appropriate teams.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hands-on preparation of shipping, including packaging, order preparation, and international trade requirements and regulations preferred.
  • 2 years of experience receiving, or warehouse operations, ideally within aerospace or manufacturing. International shipping experience is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation for international and compliance-based shipments.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting packing slips, part numbers, technical documents, and basic engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
