Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a critical position within the Catalyst Finance Team and will function as a trusted business partner to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The role will focus on oversight of our partner (Quatrro) who we use to outsource transactional accounting functions and working with other departments to ensure timely entry of accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
  • Monitor efficiency and accuracy of our 3rd party service providers
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
  • Monitor and maintain accounts payable aging reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with the accounting, procurement, and 3rd party service provider teams to improve processes and workflows
  • Support AP Automation and ERP system upgrades/implementation projects as appropriate
  • Perform other accounting related tasks as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Infor Syteline, Sage, Infor Visual) and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with AP Automation solutions (e.g. Yooz, Coupa, KeyPay) is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
