Job Summary
This Library Technician Senior position will report to the Director of Cataloging and Metadata Services, and will perform cataloging, metadata, and database maintenance workflows and tasks for UK Libraries. They were perform copy cataloging of a variety of library materials (books, ebooks, videos, including gifts, purchases, and hidden collections) and some original description for local collections such as theses and dissertations. Collection maintenance activities will include withdrawals and transfers between library locations, including our remote storage facility.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience with Ex Libris Alma and OCLC/WorldCat, or other ILS systems and cataloging utilities.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Experience with cataloging in a library.
