Aircraft Mechanic Minimum Requirements and Qualification
- Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license.
- Must have high school diploma or higher.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have experience with corporate jets.
- Must have thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support maintenance service, including, but not limited to Company policy and procedure manuals, FAR's, AD's, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, CMP, CAMPS, and other Maintenance tracking computer programs.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
- Must be efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary for the accomplishment of duties assigned.
- Must be willing to work nights / weekends and travel when needed.
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties- Launch and recover aircraft at home base.
- Performs Pre / Post flights with associated Launch or recovery of aircraft at home base.
- Perform inspections, trouble shooting and repairs as necessary to maintain airworthy aircraft.
- Performs all work assigned in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Uses Schematics, Technical drawings, and Maintenance Manuals in performance of assigned duties.
- Records work performed on Aircraft, Engine and APU as required by FAA Airworthiness Regulations and assumes responsibility for that work as indicated by his/her signature.
- Updates CMP, CAMPS, and other Maintenance tracking computer programs records associated with Aircraft, Engine and APU maintenance task. Maintain GSE Equipment.
Additional Duties- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day to day operation.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, crawl and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
- Must be able to work in tight, awkward and confined spaces.
- Must have correctable vision near and far vision.
- Must be able to hear at conversational level.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
- Must be able to handle and maintain control of parts and to properly operate hand tools.
- Must be able to work in changing climate conditions.
