Overview

EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a Certified Photogrammetrist in the Professional Practice Group. The Certified Photogrammetrist serves as the professional in responsible charge for those activities regulated in the States where EagleView operates and for which the Photogrammetrist has certifications and active professional licenses. This position requires current registration as a Photogrammetric Surveyor in South Carolina or North Carolina or Virginia and Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida and includes acquiring additional licenses based on mutual agreement and qualification. We are a fast paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.


Responsibilities

Provide responsible charge supervision as required by law in jurisdictions where licensed, specifically and as required:


• Photogrammetric deliverables (standard to high accuracy and “certified” imagery products)
• 3-D elevation models and LiDAR deliverables (DEM, contours and related products)
• Other derivative products from remote sensing data which may be regulated by jurisdictions

Review final deliverables and check that they are prepared in accordance with State Board rules, industry standards and industry best practices


• Ensure that project survey / compliance reports are prepared according to state standards
• Periodically audit procedures and processes for standards conformance, report any irregularities when identified and work on proposed resolutions
• Certify/seal project reports for projects as required by State statute

Mentorship – Maintain direct interaction with fellow Professionals and Production Managers to identify appropriate training, and to promote the certification of managers and production staff


• Direct an educational program tailored to photogrammetry & LiDAR related topics for Operations staff
• Support and mentor for career development objectives
• Serve as an ASPRS mentor / proctor and assist with training and preparation for certification exams

Process and Product Knowledge - Develop working knowledge of EagleView’s imagery processing procedures to enable other duties as indicated


• Author and maintain product specifications and compliance documentation
• Support the Quality Management System development as it relates to image quality and auditing approaches
• Develop working knowledge of EagleView's product portfolio and advise on areas of conformance or compliance with State rules
• Collaborate with Product and Operations to ensure clear, consistent, and deliverable product specifications, supporting continuous improvement and the consistent delivery of quality
• Provide certification and expert witness testimony, if requested


Periodic travel and/or interim residency requirements may apply, based on State Board rules and project requirements


Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a Photogrammetrist
• Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Engineering, or other ABET accredited program that fulfills the requirements for professional licensure as a Surveyor/Mapper/Photogrammetrist
• ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist

Preferred Experience:


• Strong inter-personal engagement skills
• Proficiency in Civil 3D applications or ArcGIS
• Proficient in Trimble Business Center
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Experience in professional societies and technical organizations
• Experience in process analysis and developing business improvement initiatives and have demonstrated the ability to drive cross-functional alignment
