Detroit Defense is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to add to our growing software team. This Software Developer will develop and sustain software projects for our Department of Defense customers. This Software Developer opportunity allows for remote work but may require work in our office for various items from time to time.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of software development tasks by working within our ticketing system to manage and complete assigned coding tickets
  • Collaborate using Detroit Defense's version control and configuration management framework to contribute code and access internal development resources
  • Participate in team meetings, demo your code, and align with company best practices, including leveraging AI tools as part of the development process where applicable
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality code standards and support continuous improvement in our development processes
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or masters degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or an applicable field of study is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Secret Security Clearance and a Common Access Card (CAC) is required. The minimum requirement to obtain a secret clearance is United States Citizenship. Only applicants that meet this criteria will be considered
  • Experience working on desktop C# applications
  • Ability to develop high-value software products derived from specifications and architecture design
  • Ability to develop products with emphasis on minimizing future software sustainment needs
  • Experience with C#, including the Blazor stack is preferred
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, and/or Electron preferred
  • Experience collaborating by using a CM tool such as git preferred
  • Experience with .NET Web API and/or MAUI/Blazor preferred
  • Experience creating unit tests on new or existing code base
  • Ability to collaborate with UX design and back-end teams
  • Ability to interface directly with customers
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player who facilitates team success
