Responsible for manning the front desk at the Jake Nevin Field House/Talley Athletic Center: greet and direct all visitors; handle all department mail; and answer the general information telephone line.

All duties must be completed in compliance with University and NCAA rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greeting visitors in a warm and welcoming manner that will reflect positively on the university, directing them to the correct office or individual, and answering any questions that individual may have.
  • Sorting and delivery of mail and handling delivery of packages.
  • Answering phone in a welcoming manner
  • Walk around and inspect facilities for open doors, trash, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Ability to direct visitors to proper office, coach or university location.
  • Understanding the weekly schedule within all Villanova athletic facilities to quickly assist any questions an individual may have.
  • Weekly schedule will always be provided Monday morning.
  • Ability to interact with staff, coaches and visitors on a regular basis.
  • Create a memorable welcoming experience to reflect positively on Villanova University.
  • Ability to operate select office machines.
  • Ability to operate phone systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Villanova University attire or button down/collared shirt. Khaki or dress pants. Hats are permitted but must be Villanova or Nike branded. Must be worn forward. Clean sneakers or dress shoes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good people skills, customer service skills a plus.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Some inspection of facilities may be required at various times of the day.
  • Working through packages in the mail room
