Job Description Summary
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Multicultural Center programs and initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and student engagement. Serve as a liaison between students, staff, and community partners to ensure the successful implementation of cultural events and student support services. Reporting to the Associate Director of the Multicultural Center, the person in this role will help the office fulfill its mission to create inclusive, educational, and engaging cultural programming that celebrates diversity and supports the success of all students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.Essential Duties
Offer dedicated support to historically underserved student groups and populations through targeted outreach and direct mentorship to identified students
Monitor program budgets and expenditures; maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as needed
Assessment: Track program participation and maintain detailed program records; Prepare reports on program activities, advisor support sessions, outcomes, and progress towards department goals
Support the development and growth of programs that serve underrepresented student populations, including management of logistical arrangements and coordination with campus stakeholders
Act as a secondary academic advisor to students, addressing concerns and providing guidance
Monitor domestic and international emergencies, such as political conflicts and natural disasters, and report to team to ensure support for impacted students
Assist with marketing and promotion of events and initiatives
Maintain a weekly event calendar and reservation system for the Claudette Blot Multicultural Center Lounge
Assist in the planning and coordination of Identity and Achievement events and initiatives
Assist and execute new and creative baseline programs for first-year students to facilitate success and retention of this population
Deliver Racial and Social Justice trainings to the broader student, staff, and faculty communities as needed
Serve as BentleyPlus Advisor by attending role-specific trainings, facilitating advising sessions, and sending follow-up communications to advisees

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
1–3 years of experience in program coordination, student affairs, or related field
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Experience working with underrepresented student populations is a plus
Work Environment
Position will include some night and weekend responsibilities.
Typical office setting with extensive computer and phone work
