General Description

A Sales and Service Officer plays a crucial role in fostering and maintaining positive relationships with clients. They are responsible for understanding client needs, providing personalized financial solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction. The SSO also focuses in business development by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, fully understanding their financial and training needs for their employees.
• Provide seminars, conference & trainings to our commercial clients related to Popular’s solutions (product & services).
• Act as the main point of contact for commercial clients, ensuring that all requests, concerns, or issues are handled effectively.
• Work closely with internal business units to ensure that proposed financial solutions fully meet the needs of customers.
• Identify opportunities to increase business and profits for Popular with existing customers and new relationships.
• Provide regular management reports on customer relationship performance and growth opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Minimum of three years’ experience working in sales & service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA's):

  • Communication skills: Should have excellent both verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Excellent providing public presentations.
  • Customer orientation: Have skills to deal with customers’ needs and provide excellent customer service. Having empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organization and time management: Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
  • Results orientation: Have a results-oriented mindset and be willing to work towards achieving the business objectives.
  • Negotiation skills: Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Fast learner: Skill to quickly understand new information (ex.: financial, compliance, among others).

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, among others).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Available to work after work hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Available to travel in and out of Puerto Rico.

Hybrid Work Schedule
Flexibility to work non-business hours, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when needed.
