Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking a Principal Space Systems Engineer - Ground Support to serve as a key advisor, providing expert guidance on testing and operations and program acquisition. This role involves supporting the development and execution of test documentation, planning, requirements, events, and data analysis for both Developmental and Operational Testing.  In this role you will deliver technical expertise across acquisitions, engineering, and operations and offer strategic advice and assistance at any phase of the acquisition life cycle. Additionally, the role includes supporting advanced technology initiatives, future concept development, and integration activities. You will advise the Government on critical cost, schedule, and performance issues to ensure program success.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support for Developmental and Operational Testing, including test planning, documentation, requirements analysis, and data evaluation.
  • Lead coordination of system-level test integration activities and support mission planning, protection strategies, anomaly resolution, and post-mission analysis.
  • Deliver analytical and engineering support to operational and developmental space units across a range of missions and technologies.
  • Manage data and signal collection, processing, storage, and analysis to support ongoing operations, testing, and future concept development.
  • Support the full acquisition lifecycle for space systems programs, with emphasis on advanced technology integration, cost, schedule, and performance assessment.
  • Develop, revise, and present acquisition and requirements documentation (e.g., CONOPS, ICDs, technical evaluations) in accordance with agency standards.
  • Generate technical and programmatic status reports for individual programs or portfolios in collaboration with client agency stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation, process enhancement, and program efficiency.
  • Represent the team at technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups; collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and maintain broad portfolio awareness.
  • Provide engineering support for Command and Control (C2) efforts, ensuring integration across Space C2, Enterprise Ground Services, and classified programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years relevant experience in government acquisition programs and space engineering.
  • Masters Degree in related technical or scientific discipline
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance, with SCI eligibility
  • Expertise in the following:
    • Classified space control space, ground, and C2 systems (concepts, development, build, and test)
    • Space control-related technologies, including but not limited to, electromagnetic spectrum, signal processing, communications.
    • Developing and managing technical requirements and space system acquisition efforts
  • Demonstrated knowledgeable in the following:
    • Electronic attack technologies and system design
    • Modeling and simulations, with a demonstrated ability to develop models and assess technical requirements
    • Classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including but not limited to requirements development, configuration control, and government Deficiency Review (DR) board establishment, execution, and DR disposition and management
