Job Summary
Join the team at College of Design as a STEPS Administrative Support Associate today! In this role you will provide academic and departmental administrative support.

Duties may include:

  • Assist Department Chairs with administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, retreats, and special events.
  • Prepare travel and reimbursements for the Department Chairs
  • Coordinate and prepare travel for external guest lecturers and reviewers
  • Assist faculty in organizing studio travel with students in compliance with risk management policies
  • Assist Department Chairs in organizing Board meetings and events
  • Prepare purchasing preapproval forms, submit orders, and prepare receipts and reimbursements for five procards
  • Follow all business procedures and ensure departments are aware of requirements
  • Take notes at departmental meetings and retreats and update the internal SharePoint site
  • Maintain departmental correspondence and files, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality
  • Serve as the department liaison with other university units and external organizations as needed
  • Advise on compliance with College and University business policies and help ensure adherence across department activities
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
