Business Analyst ( Unilever Ndlovu Park)

Job Purpose


To maintain WMOS and assist with high quality operational analysis, utilizing data extracted from the WMOS system. The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in gathering user requirements and priorities - system issues, new functionalities or enhancements to the system. The incumbent is responsible for the ensuring user requirements or issues are heard, understood, documented and managed. To oversee, support and maintain all systems.

Key areas of responsibility include:


• Maintain SAP WM and WMOS configurations and provide reports and information to support planning, continuous improvements and operations

• Ensure that all WMS issues are logged via Remedy, understood, documented and managed through to a timeous solution

• SAP knowledge is distributed vertically and horizontally through training and development of super users

• Regular data reports are created and maintained using SAP / WMOS, to provide information inputs to planning, continuous improvements and operations

• Work with the operational management and staff to fully understand their specific requirements, ensuring the wider picture is taken into account in terms of improving business processes and systems

• Participate in sandpit, user acceptance, DILO and stress testing of SAP WM / WMOS, ensuring business managers requirements are met by solutions proposed

• Identify opportunities for possible improvements within the operation

• Analysing complex issues and developing effective options for actions

• Managing and maintaining SAP, WMOS, Citrix and Pega user accounts 

• Managing the process of gathering, analysing, storing and disseminating detailed information in a user-friendly format

• Ensure timeous distribution of weekly and daily data analysis to internal and external customers

• Review and recommend suitable technical specifications for BI reporting tools and technology

• Daily and weekly exception reports are created and maintained to provide information inputs

• New lines are handled in the correct way

• DC volumetric information is accurate and captured for all new lines and a review process is in place to ensure accuracy

• Ensure effective management of all fast track and defective equipment

• Plan, implement and review minor and major system changes / integrity into the DC

• Ensure SAP records are maintained to provide accurate information tools and tables

• Ensure accuracy of keying to SAP adjustments and stock movements and that the appropriate follow up procedure is followed

• Access Clients and BU Management information requirements and facilitate delivery

• Analyse and work with large data sets doing queries, data cleansing and transformation

• Identify business Intelligence system gaps

• Manage BI reporting change requests for BU

• Delivery of KPI's

• Ensure compliance to SOP's and WI's

• Maximise accuracy, productivity and space utilization

• Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs through effective operations

• Maintain appropriate information / reporting systems to monitor the DC's performance on an ongoing basis

• Active participation in stock counts i.e. planning, preparation and physical counting of stock

• TSP Stock counts - system readiness

• Arranging Service Providers to attend to IT related issues at the Site

• Adhere to the sites SHE rules and best practices

• Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised

• Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality or integrity of the stored product

Qualifications


• Matric 

• Logistics / Warehouse Management / Supply Chain Management Diploma {Desirable}

• 3 - 5 years' experience in a Warehousing / Logistics environment

• English verbal and written.
