Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will assist in performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on mechanical equipment and systems. This role ensures equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in mechanical maintenance and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Lubricate, clean, and adjust equipment as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any irregularities or potential issues. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist senior technicians in complex maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • May require standing, walking, lifting, and working in various physical conditions.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical maintenance is a plus.
  • 2+ Years of experience working on mechanical systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in preventive maintenance or mechanical repair.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, and repair complex mechanical systems.
  • Understanding safety assurance and quality control procedures
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with team members on shared tasks and projects.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
