How you will make an impact:

The Sr. Director of Global Manufacturing will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across five global manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This leader will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency, quality, safety, and fulfillment while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By integrating cross-functional teams and standardizing best practices, the Sr. Director of Global Manufacturing will enhance global consistency and performance. The role will directly influence customer satisfaction, cost competitiveness, and overall business growth. This position is critical to scaling manufacturing sustainably and maintaining the company’s reputation for operational excellence.

  • Develop and execute a global manufacturing strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and supports long-term growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and integrate core operational functions—including Quality, EHS, Continuous Improvement, Planning —ensuring they operate as cohesive, high-performing units aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing sites, including the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, smart factory systems, and data analytics to enhance visibility and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with commercial and product development teams to align manufacturing capabilities with customer needs, enabling faster time-to-market and improved service levels.
  • Oversee capital investment execution, including facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and automation projects that support future growth and innovation.
  • Establish and lead global governance structures for operational excellence, ensuring consistent standards, compliance, and knowledge sharing across all regions.
  • Represent the company in external forums, including industry associations, regulatory bodies, and customer engagement, strengthen brand reputation and stay ahead of regulatory and market trends.
  • Execute crisis management and business continuity plans, ensuring operational resilience in the face of geopolitical, environmental, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Champion workforce development and succession planning, building a diverse leadership pipeline of talent and foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, contributing insights on manufacturing trends, global risk factors, and long-term planning to shape the company’s overall direction.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or commensurate experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site, global operations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, EHS regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and performance management.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related technical field).
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical devices).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a global mindset.
  • Track record of successful change management and organizational transformation.
  • Multilingual capabilities or international work experience.
