AtlantiCare, a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient and the largest healthcare system in southeastern New Jersey, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time AP/CP board-certified surgical pathologist to join our established pathology laboratory in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The applicant should be comfortable signing out general surgical pathology including breast pathology. Training in or experience with non-gynecologic cytopathology would be preferred but not required. Fellowship training in hematopathology would be preferred but not required.
This opportunity will allow you to utilize your extensive training and clinical expertise within a comprehensive medical setting with excellent clinical lab services, support staff and a collegial group of physicians and surgeons. We're seeking a strong team player with diverse clinical experience.
This position requires:
- NJ medical license required by start date
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Minimum CP duties
- On-call rotation - one week per month (most issues can be taken care of over the phone)
- Minimal grossing as needed to support Pathologists' Assistant vacation/sick time
- Occasional medical autopsies (0-3 per pathologist per year) with support from an experienced diener
- Non-gynecologic cytopathology training or experience preferred but not required
- Hematopathology fellowship training preferred but not required
- Ability to travel between two hospital campuses as needed
