Description

Your role as a Senior HCMS Analyst

We’re on the hunt for a Senior HCMS Analyst — part system wizard, part payroll guru, part detective — to serve as the super admin for all payroll-related modules in our Human Capital Management System (currently UKG, moving to Workday). If you love solving puzzles, optimizing processes, and making tech and payroll play nice together, this is your spotlight moment.

What You’ll Do

  • Rule the Payroll Modules – Be the go-to admin for Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Core HCM. Configure, maintain, and fine-tune like a pro.
  • Protect Data Like a Guardian – Keep payroll-related data clean, compliant, and audit-ready.
  • Tame Integrations – Ensure smooth connections between payroll, finance, accounting, benefits, and third-party systems.
  • Run Special Ops Projects – Lead system upgrades, roll out new features, and streamline workflows.
  • Tell Stories with Data – Build reports and dashboards that make leadership say, “Whoa, that’s helpful.”
  • Train & Support – Help teammates navigate the payroll modules like a map to buried treasure.

    What You Bring

    • 4+ years of HRIS/HCM system administration experience (Workday strongly preferred)
    • Solid payroll process and compliance knowledge — you understand the “why” behind the rules
    • Excel mastery: pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, the works
    • Experience collaborating with Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT teams
    • A detail-obsessed, problem-solving mindset (bonus if you enjoy process mapping)
    • Project management skills to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
    • Ability to explain complex technical details in plain English

    Extra Credit (Nice to Have)

    • Experience with Prism, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
    • Knowledge of data governance best practices
    • Familiarity with multi-state payroll tax compliance and regulatory reporting

    Your life at Harris

We’re the team that keeps the system humming, the data clean, and the integrations seamless… all while keeping the coffee flowing and the spreadsheets happy.

As one of the country's leading mechanical contractors, Harris offers you the best of both worlds: the stability, resources and opportunities of a national company, and the team culture, creative spirit and customer loyalty of a local business. • Support for ongoing learning and certifications
    • A collaborative, upbeat team that appreciates both accuracy and humor
