Senior Evaluation Coordinator
The Office of Child Development (OCD) is seeking an experienced, createive, and versatile professional capable of a variety of administrative, data handling and evaluation tasks for the Evaluation and Research Team (ERT). This employee will provide research assistance for a comprehensive evaluation of an innovative Early Childhood Education program in Centeral Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities include collecting quantitative and qualitative assessment data, creating online assessment tools, entering and analyzing data in a variety of software programs, restructuring quantitative databases from a variety of formats to facilitate descriptive analysis, and managing scheduling, communications, and logistics for project activities. Maintaining positive, professional relationships with stakeholders from school staff to parents is essential. Must understand detailed research plans and follow protocols, have competence and comfort working in early childhood education settings and be experienced in database management tasks including transforming data sets for analysis, merging data sets from different sources, recoding qualitative data, and identifying/handling missing quantitative data.
Responsibilities will also include collaborating with supervisor and practitioners to support writing of various reports, creating data visualizations and coordinating meetings/events. Experience in interviewing and collecting data via formal observation preferred.
This position requires regular in-person work at the Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning in Harrisburg, PA. After opening of new program site, this role will be located in New Danville, PA.

Initiates, develops, and manages complex applied research and program evaluation projects and identifies gaps and opportunities in child welfare processes, products, and practices. Develops complex research questions, data collection strategies, and testing plans. Provides support to internal and external stakeholders. Collects and analyzes advanced data, crafts reports, and contributes to the child welfare field through publications and conference presentations. Pursues funding opportunities.
This position is mostly sedentary, but the individual must attend a variety of meetings in different places and use the computer for extended periods of time.
This individual must operate appropriate computers and software; be able to communicate with diverse audiences; and work with various professionals. Ability to drive or use public transportation.
