Position Summary:
The People & Culture Business Partner, Operations, is responsible for supporting the day-to-day P&C needs of the Operations team, contributing to a positive and consistent employee experience. This role works collaboratively with site leaders, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and People & Culture peers to ensure the effective application of NeoGenomics policies, procedures, and people practices.
This is a growth-oriented role designed to build core HR competencies in a fast-paced, operations driven environment. The Business Partner focuses on key areas such as employee relations, engagement, development, onboarding, policy implementation, HR operations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
• Route employee changes (i.e. transfers, promotions, terminations) for assigned departments, ensuring proper approvals and documentation are completed
• Maintain accurate and compliant personnel records, documentation, and reporting
• Respond to inquiries from employees, leaders, and vendors regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Contribute to employee engagement and retention efforts, including onboarding, communication, and site-wide activities
• Support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of People & Culture programs, policies, and initiatives across various HR functions
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) on their initiatives to effectively partner with the business and drive operational excellence
• Participate in special projects and policy development through research and data analysis
• Conduct exit interviews and prepare separation documentation to support continuous improvement
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders, promoting consistent and effective people practices
• Partner with Employee Relations to investigate and resolve workplace concerns, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
• Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and internal policies, including participation in investigations and hearings as needed
• Analyze people data to identify trends and recommend improvements to enhance the employee experience
• Recommend and participate in the development of HR policies and procedures through research and data analysis
• Stay current on HR best practices by engaging in professional development opportunities
• Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related discipline required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience in similar HR capacity
  • Healthcare, Pharma and/or Clinical Laboratory industry experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of human resources laws and federal/state compliance requirements
  • Computer and internet literacy, specifically with MS office applications and knowledge of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, is required; experience with Workday is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-directed, and well-organized individual with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function independently within a broad scope of guidelines and established policies and goals
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work within and meet required deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the organization
Travel: Minimal (20%) travel to Neo site, Lee Health Hospital System, community events and/or conferences/training as needed
