JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for a self-starter who thrives both independently and in collaborative teams, can navigate a fast-paced deployment environment, and is eager to grow their technical expertise while delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise information systems and networks to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and update physical systems, virtual environments, networking solutions, and system documentation.
  • Lead or contribute to the design and deployment of enhancements to systems and architectures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on operational or performance issues and develop long-term solutions.
  • Ensure systems meet DoD STIGs and security compliance requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant IT/network engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in TCP/IP, IPv4, and network troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices.
  • Knowledge of Access Control Lists (ACLs) and network security best practices.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat).
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi.
  • Familiarity with implementing DoD STIGs.
  • Proficient in DNS/DHCP administration and system monitoring.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC (5 days a week).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

  • CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or JNCIP certification.
  • Event log and intrusion analysis.
  • WSUS administration and vulnerability scanning (e.g., Nessus).
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Batch, Ansible, or Chef.
