Job Summary

Responsible for the timely, efficient, and courteous management of domestic customer orders and sales team support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Care:

  • Enter domestic customer orders received via phone, fax and email with expedient entry while maintaining high level of accuracy.
  • Provide timely notification and continual update to customers and sales team of expected ship dates for backordered and/or drop-shipped products.
  • Work professionally in high volume call center atmosphere with departmental metrics within annual objectives.
  • Responsible for researching and resolving complaints to ensure customer retention and satisfaction including product quality, returned merchandise, and credit issues.
  • Work closely with sales team in specified sales region to provide customer account and product information support.
  • Create relationships with all designated very important customer (VIC) accounts.

Departmental:

  • Have thorough knowledge of customer service policies and procedures and their application. Relies on experience and judgment to resolve situations.
  • Retrieve and analyze customer data as requested.
  • Actively involved in customer service process improvement suggestions.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Computer proficiency required. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience preferred.
  • Strong communications skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service or related field preferred
