The Manager of Flight Support leads a dynamic team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of camera systems used in EagleView’s proprietary fixed-wing aerial imaging platforms. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, technical acumen, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, aviation-focused environment. The Manager will foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all flight support operations.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the Capture System Maintenance (CST) team.
• Ensure all aerial capture assets are fully equipped and supported for successful imagery collection.
• Manage CST schedules, timekeeping, PTO approvals, and attendance records.
• Plan and coordinate field operations for the entire CST team.
• Collaborate with Flight Operations and Planning teams to allocate capture resources effectively.
• Track and report on installation/uninstallation cycles and troubleshooting metrics.
• Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of internal database systems.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support and technical guidance to CSTs.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to coordinate equipment maintenance, testing, and issue resolution.
• Ensure TCs are properly trained in the manufacture, maintenance, and operation of imaging systems.
• Support advanced manufacturing and maintenance of camera systems.
• Maintain lab space and equipment inventory in coordination with the Hardware & Inventory Manager.
• Contribute to the development of training materials, maintenance protocols, and installation procedures for new hardware and software systems.
• Support software testing and development initiatives related to capture systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• College degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Background in logistics, scheduling, shipping or technical support.
• Strong technical skills in computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with seasonal fluctuations.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs independently.
Preferred:
• Previous experience working in photography, aviation, safety, systems field support, GIS or mechanical fields.
• Technical or mechanical certifications/training a plus
The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. This is a full-time role based out of Rochester, NY with a salary range of $60,000 to $81,000/year, bonus eligible.
