Overview

At Legacy Health, our mission is good health for our people, our patients, our communities, and our world. Above all, we will do the right thing. As part of the Throughput Optimization team, you will be focused on improving systems and processes within our facilities to ensure our patients have access to the right care, at the right time, in the right place, every time.

Inpatient throughput is the process of admitting, treating, and discharging patients in the hospital setting to ensure a timely and appropriate level of care, as just part of the continuum in a patient’s healthcare journey. Evidence shows that hospitals prioritizing patient throughput and patient flow through their facilities have realized improvements in patient care quality, care team and patient satisfaction, and have reduced the potential risks that being in the hospital can pose.

Legacy Health continues to identify areas of opportunity to ensure our patients are discharged when medically ready and that we have capacity to treat and care for the next patient presenting at our facilities. When we focus on where, when, and what care we are providing, we improve the patient's outcome.

When our patients receive the right care in the right amount of time, we ensure that more patients can receive the hospital-level care they need, when they need it. This work supports Legacy’s mission of caring for our people, our patients, and our community.

In this position, you will:
