Job Description

ProSource360 is seeking a Senior Analyst (Epidemiologist, Mathematician, or Statistician) to support the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio. The Senior Analyst will lead and conduct advanced statistical and epidemiological analyses on healthcare, operational, and personnel data to support human performance, readiness, and operational surveillance for the U.S. Air Force. This position requires expertise in data science, statistical modeling, and leadership in technical product development.

Responsibilities

  • Design, formulate, and lead analysis of health surveillance, operational, and personnel data across individual, unit, and total force populations.
  • Provide program evaluation and performance analysis for initiatives related to readiness, human performance, and operational outcomes.
  • Manage the retrieval, integration, and transformation of health, deployment, and surveillance data into usable formats.
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis and develop theoretically driven models using SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and related software.
  • Conduct validation and verification of statistical models and ensure quality of outputs.
  • Draft technical reports, white papers, publications, presentations, and memorandums; ensure products require minimal revision.
  • Prepare at least one technical report (suitable for publication) and one professional presentation (for national or international conference) annually.
  • Present results of studies in briefings, technical reports, and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Establish relationships between datasets, map data elements, define storage architecture, and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary.
  • Serve as an expert in health statistics in interdisciplinary planning and analysis.
  • Document computer code and ensure compliance with USAFSAM programming standards.
  • Support knowledge transfer through reports, briefings, and presentations for USAFSAM and Air Force leadership.
  • Participate in professional conferences, develop posters and presentations, and contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts.
  • Interface with USAFSAM/FES leadership and staff to ensure project success.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with statistics in a healthcare or military environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to design and lead operational studies on health and military data.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering technical reports, publications, and presentations.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, R, SAS Viya, Qualtrics).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • HIPAA training compliance to access and process medical data.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related discipline.
  • Board Certification in Public Health (for candidates with Public Health degree).
  • Seven or more years of experience in health analytics, preferably with DoD or USAF-related data.
  • Three or more years of supervisory or team lead experience managing technical experts.
