ISS STOXX seeks a collaborative, energetic and motivated individual looking to grow their career in marketing and financial services. ISS STOXX’s Investor Solutions marketing team is looking to hire a Proposal Writer and Content Library Manager to create and deliver comprehensive business proposals to prospects and clients in an effort to preserve and drive revenue for the organization, utilizing Responsive project and content management software.

The Proposal Writer and Content Library Manager is expected to collaborate with the sales organization and other internal business stakeholders to support the development of responses to inbound Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI).

This position is a highly visible and integral part of the new sales and renewal process as ISS STOXX grows its client base across all segments of its business. This position also allows for an individual to understand the global corporate governance and responsible investment landscape, learn the ISS STOXX product suite, target audience and client needs, and contribute to the commercial efforts of the organization.

Responsibilities of this role focus on organizational, communication, writing skills, all of which are essential for success.

Responsibilties

  • Study RFP requirements and establish RFP working group; collaborate with ISS STOXX sales, business, compliance and subject matter experts on the most effective way to respond to RFPs and present proposed solutions.
  • Produce quality proposals by using Responsive project and content management software, including ISS STOXX’s extensive existing content bank.
  • Establish, manage, and meet all individual and RFP working group deadlines by creating priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, editing, approval and delivery.
  • Drive the RFP response process forward by assigning responsibility for all open tasks, communicating expectations and keeping the conversation in motion. Ensure that input is received from members of the RFP working group ahead of established deadlines.
  • Facilitate and engage in cross-functional discussions with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand governance and responsible investment trends, and subsequently convey this knowledge throughout content.
  • Write clear, articulate and persuasive content. Translate ideas into easily understandable text, including executive summaries, cover letters, competitive differentiators, organization credentials, and product/service features and benefits.
  • Understand and follow proposal and business-writing standards for readability, accuracy and tone. Revise incoming content from working group members to ensure consistency and adherence with ISS STOXX’s internal compliance standards. Further edit text so that final deliverables are formatted in a clean and professional manner.
  • Manage ongoing updates to content databank. Review and refresh databank after each RFP deliverable to include new company and product information, and statistics as needed.
  • Improve proposal writing deliverables. Evaluate and redesign processes and approach; implement changes as needed.
  • Manage and maintain team’s central data repository on SharePoint, containing all historical proposals.
  • Develop partnership with sales team to establish role as a reliable and knowledgeable business partner; support revenue generating opportunities. Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to gain trust and ensure open communication.
  • Additional projects include maintaining a database of brief content in Responsive for sales efforts including, but not limited to short form sales proposals, RFP cover letters, and client case studies to be used in RFPs that further illustrate the ISS STOXX offering.


Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field; Or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-5 Years of Experience in sales, marketing, or client service roles. Previous experience in a proposal writing or coordination role is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a B2B marketing function which supports sales.
  • Financial services background highly preferred. Corporate governance and/or responsible investment background is a plus.
  • Strong command of the English language and editing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels are a must.
  • Understanding of client needs; ability to translate these needs into clear, concise and compelling written responses.

  • Creative thinker; able to brainstorm new and creative ideas to attract business and fuel revenue growth.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in managing and interactive with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders. Communication is key.
