RMC is hiring for a full-time Junior Systems Analyst to support our customer within the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant must have experience with customer support principles and methods and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Position responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Navy/Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) Activity Customer Technical Representatives (ACTR) for the NSWC IHD command
  • Following NMCI guidance from NAVSEA Headquarters Core Contract Technical Representative (CTR) on NMCI and enterprise matters and working closely with other command ACTRs to support the work required
  • Defining NMCI requirements as they relate to NSWC Indian Head (IHD) needs and collecting information of the NMCI ordering requirements across all NSWC IHD sites
  • Working under supervision to perform systems analysis of computer and communications/networks systems
  • Supporting the Department of the Navy Applications and Database Management System (DADMS) and the Navy Information Technology Approval System (NAV-ITAS); tracking IT-related acquisition procurement requests and ensuring compliance with DoD and DON requirements
  • Providing guidance and support to customers on DADMS and NAV-ITAS policies and procedures, ensuring IT procurement requests meet capabilities/mission requirements and cost controls
  • Supporting regular reports/data calls to senior leadership on DADMS and NAV-ITAS performance, including metrics related to IT procurement requests, compliance with regulatory requirements, and cost controls
  • Tracking DADMS and NAV-ITS requirements as they relate to NSWC IHD needs and collecting information of the NMCI ordering requirements across all NSWC IHD sites
  • Developing order quantities by site, building and person, clarifying NMCI contract language and assisting NSWC IHD organizations in making proper selection of devices and capabilities based on current NMCI contract line-item numbers (CLINs) to meet their needs and budget constraints
  • Ordering, delivering, and managing NMCI service operational requirements
  • Providing basic knowledge of IT system requirements and programming specifications
  • Researching job tasks, organizational structure, and user requirements to provide inputs to system-wide solutions
  • Assisting in defining, analyzing, validating, and documenting complex operating environments, states of technology, and current processes
  • Developing draft technical documentation detailing the installation procedures
  • Maintaining data files and monitoring system configuration to ensure data integrity

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience or a High School diploma or equal with four (4) years of relevant experience in performing information technology acquisition and management related duties
  • Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required; applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $70,000 to $95,000 annually.
