Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s College of Medicine (COM) Business Office is seeking to hire a Coordinator, College of Medicine (COM) Administrative Services. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Audits personnel actions including new hires, terminations, promotions, and reappointments.
  • Maintains accurate digital and physical personnel files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
  • Conducts regular audits of records to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Tracks and monitors temporary employee records, including assignment end dates and compliance requirements.
  • Generates standard and ad-hoc reports.
  • Assists with the management of the College of Medicine (COM) database.
  • Assists with the preparation and submission of internal and external reports, including those required by accreditation agencies and healthcare partners.
  • Supports the COM annual budget process by compiling and reviewing personnel and payroll data.
  • Serves as a point of contact for COM departments on HR-related administrative processes and documentation requirements.
  • Follows up with departments to ensure completion of required records.
  • Responds to general Human Resources and payroll inquiries, offering guidance on basic policies and procedures.
  • Provides general administrative support to the Business Office and assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Participates in maintaining compliance with university policies, including support for building safety protocols and communication.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
