Overview

This role will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted and cost-effective supply of raw materials and packaging as well as the strategies that support the long-term source to pay vision of AFNA through the established procurement processes, budget control and supplier relationship management programs to deliver all KPIs required.



Responsibilities

Supply Assurance & Risk Management

  • Manage suppliers to meet contractual obligations including quantities, quality, cost, terms and conditions according to the organization’s needs
  • Develop and maintain a resilient strategy with contingency plans to mitigate risk of disruption as well as the plans for monitoring and responding to variations in key commodity markets with respect to short-term and long-term supply agreements.
  • Provide research, analysis and reporting of key material price trends, purchase price variance and total spend in support of management decision making requirements

Cost Management

  • Lead cross functional teams to achieve savings projects on total delivered cost (TDC) with negotiations of supply agreements, pricing, terms and conditions for a total spend of ~$400M.
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to deliver sustainable cost reduction initiatives within the TDC Strategy to initiate and support innovation purposes and growth roadmap
  • Ensure appropriate financial metrics are monitored and proper financial controls are in place to report volume and spend across all categories.

Inventory and Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC) Management

  • Develop and lead inventory management strategies, policies and programs to ensure the company has maximum inventory turns, best price, high quality and consistent support to manufacturing and the controls policies and procedures in coordination with plants and suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions required to deliver the CCC strategy of the organization and work with Accounts payable and finance teams on KPI tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Initiate and support supplier, formula, component and SKU rationalization activities.

Supplier Management

  • Responsible of the supplier relationship management process, quarterly business reviews and proper relationship management
  • Lead competitive bid processes for direct spending categories, supplier qualification requirements, determination of supply needs, and long-term procurement planning in coordination with other areas.
  • Establish Supplier Development Program consisting of Evaluation, Audit, Certification and Supplier Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system for key suppliers / subsidiaries.

People & Team Development

  • Develop and mentor a team of professional procurement personnel and plant purchasing personnel, including training, policy enforcement, ethical conduct, personal development, evaluation and career planning as appropriate.
  • Foster team approach to procurement function, balancing field and headquarters resources to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of professional procurement collaborators to perform at the level required for future growth as well as sustainable cost reduction strategies within the categories under scope and support cross-functional initiatives with R&D, packaging development, engineering, supply chain, finance and others, collaboratively across the business.


Qualifications

  • 7 plus years of procurement experience with a solid track record of accomplishments and continuous improvement programs, preferably in the food and beverage or CPG industries
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA or similar preferred
  • Proven experience in hiring, managing and leading a high-performance team
  • Solid knowledge of procurement, source to contract & purchase to pay end to end management
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact with internal and external executive stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, collaboration, teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
