Position Overview:

Composites One is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead our global credit and collections function. This role is critical in ensuring the company maintains a strong credit risk profile and optimized working capital while supporting profitable growth. The Credit Manager will evaluate credit applications, set and monitor credit limits, oversee collections, and partner with sales, finance, and customer service teams to protect company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing credit and collections team, ensuring clear roles, effective processes, and measurable results.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain company credit policies and risk management practices.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness and make informed decisions on credit applications, limits, and terms.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and drive collections efforts to resolve overdue accounts.
  • Oversee compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable credit laws.
  • Provide reporting and insights into credit exposure and working capital performance.
  • Partner with sales, finance, and customer service to resolve issues and support growth.

Leadership and Communications Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a large team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled in building trust, influencing decisions, and driving accountability.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of credit/collections experience in a distribution or B2B environment.
  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP and credit systems (e.g., SAP, CreditSafe).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as CCE (Certified Credit Executive).
  • Experience implementing credit process improvements and enabling technologies.
  • Track record of driving customer satisfaction while managing risk.

    Travel:

    • Willingness to travel within the U.S. up to 10%.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
