We are looking for an Product Introduction Analyst to join our team in the Portland area. The Product Introduction Analyst is a key contributor to the successful development and commercialization of new and revised food products. This person will use their knowledge and technical expertise to facilitate the planning, organization and coordination of Commercial Plant Testing. They will play a central role in the development of in plant processes, new equipment and ingredients testing, and the improvement of manufacturing efficiencies and cost down efforts

Salary $73,000/yr depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexibility as needed

Responsibilities

• New and Revised Product Introduction
• Independently coordinate and conduct CP tests in support of new or revised product
development.
• Communicate effectively with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance and other departments
to resolve issues and ensure smooth commercialization of new or revised products.
• Resolve production and processing related issues and ensure accurate and successful
commercialization of new or revised products.
• Assist with creating, revising and maintaining the Bill of Materials, routings, flow charts and
other supporting documentation for new and current products in compliance with
applicable management systems.
• Ensuring departmental procedures, GMPs, quality and safety standards are met or
exceeded.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Perform all other work as required. Projects: Process Development, Raw Materials,
Packaging Materials, Total Delivered Cost, Total Productive Maintenance, and Safety
GEMBA.

• Assist with the development of new manufacturing processes, utilizing technical
knowledge of equipment, people and products.
• Develop and maintain industry expertise in support of new and existing processes
including but not limited to; mixing, packaging, microwaving, prep, slicing and dicing
processes, refrigerating processes.
• Participate and conduct See, Think, Plan, Do (STPD) Analysis, investigate questionable
product and conduct root-cause analysis to determine if it meets expectations for quality to
send out to customer or if we need to dispose of the product.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures as it relates to product introduction so
that we are producing high-quality product.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university inFood Science or a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • One to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively cross functionally both at the Plant and Corporate level.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports and government regulations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability and
    statistical inference.
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
    situations and basic statistical inference.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook, MS SharePoint and Teams.
  • Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Program (ERPs) and Product Vision.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
    form.
