Challenging Projects:

As an Intelligence Staff Action Officer, you will represent and advise senior stakeholders in the development and implementation of multi-discipline intelligence capabilities in support of Marine Corps operations and the Joint Force. You will apply expertise and practical experience in identifying gaps and evaluating opportunities to enhance intelligence capabilities most relevant to successful execution of  Marine Corps operational concepts and plans.

You will work collaboratively with counterparts across the operating forces, service headquarters staff, the Joint Force, and the intelligence community to develop and coordinate policies, plans, and strategies to advance tactical capabilities to support the Joint Force and integrate external capabilities to support tactical military formations. This is a high-impact, dynamic role requiring adaptability, foresight, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior leaders on the development and integration of intelligence capabilities; evaluate against emergent concepts and plans to identify key gaps and opportunities, develop recommendations for solutions.
  • Develop policies, plans, and strategies advancing development and integration of multi-discipline intelligence capabilities relevant to operational needs specified in current operating concepts and plans.
  • Ensure Service intelligence capabilities and requirements are reflected in development of Service and Joint policies for multi-domain/joint all-domain operations, including command and control, fires and effects, and other functions.  
  • Collaborate with counterparts across the operating forces, joint force, and intelligence community to represent Service equities, ensure Service alignment, and inform development of Service plans and strategy.
  • Evaluate emerging capabilities such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to advise senior leader decision-making regarding their implementation to enhance intelligence related functions and tasks.
  • Support development and staff assessment of new operating concepts and requirements for applied multi-discipline intelligence operations.

You Have:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 12+ years of multi-intelligence U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) or joint military experience across tactical to strategic levels
  • Proven experience leading or advising large intelligence organizations or operational teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and briefing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in dynamic, high-visibility environments

Nice to Haves:

  • Master’s degree in National Security, Strategic Studies, or a related field
  • Experience leading ISR, targeting, and CIP functions at the JTF, MEF, or MSC level
  • Experience serving at a Combatant Command, Service Headquarters, or Joint Staff
  • Familiarity with operational planning processes and interagency coordination
  • Prior experience in LNO or action officer roles at the Pentagon or equivalent levels

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
